MEETINGS CANCELLED

Silicon Valley Democratic Club is cancelling our in-person meetings based on the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department’s recommendations.

We are urging all of our members and associates to follow the guidelines of the Santa Clara County Department of Health. It is important that we are proactive and take appropriate preventative measures to protect those at higher risk, which includes anyone over the age of 50 and those who have an underlying medical condition.

From the Santa Clara County Dept of Health 3/16/20: All individuals shall shelter at their place of residence except that they may leave to provide or receive certain essential services or engage in certain essential activities and work for essential businesses and governmental services; exempting individuals experiencing homelessness from the shelter in place order but urging them to find shelter and government agencies to provide it; directing all businesses and governmental agencies to cease non-essential operations at physical locations in the county; prohibiting all non essential gatherings of any number of individuals; and ordering cessation of all non-essential travel.
